Saturday Fika and Hjo

After the most wonderful fika (homemade apple tart with homemade ice cream) with Anne's SVF roommate, Elin, and her family, we headed on to the nearby city of Hjo. But first - more pictures of our time with this sweet family of five:
Elin and Martin with their newest son.

(Okay...I'll throw in a throwback photo of Anne with Elin as Elin joined the
Bachelorette Party right befor Anne was married!  I am so glad they continue to keep in touch for 17 years since they first met in Sweden!)

Then, after witnessing such love in a young family, we headed to Sweden's "love" city:
Hjo - pronounced "you"

 as in I LOVE YOU.

See the heart?  This was from a storefront tackle shop window.

This is from a welcome center station.
Hjo is located on the west coast of Lake Vattern. In 2013, Hjo celebrated the city's 600th birthday,
(Hjo was relatively spared when it came to fires destroying its wooden buildings.
Many are still standing.)  It's also the site of Guldkroksbadet outdoor baths.
We just thought it was beautiful!

We now love Hjo, too!
