Looking for the House and What We Found Along the Way
When Wes was a fourth grader, his family lived in Sweden for almost a year while his Dad did research on Anders Nygren. This is their rented home in Bjarred - the Baltic Sea was their front "yard" on the southern coast and near to the the university city of Lund. Wes wanted to see this house again and last weekend was the perfect time to do so. With no exact address for the Bjarred home, we set off in search of this gem by the sea. Guide books in hand, we knew there were places to stop along the way for quaint villages and towns, museums, cathedrals, beach views and beautiful scenery. In addition to the Emigrant Museum in Vaxjo, we went to a Glass Museum and the 12th-century cathedral there. The interior of the church is lovely; not ornate.
