He Did. She Did.

Did you happen to see Wes recently back in the Chicago area? He had to go back to attend to business at North Park University. I did not go with him. First order of business for him?
Bring treats to work for fika.
It was a pretty intense time at work, but he knew the motivation was there to persevere:
soon he'd be visiting the family.
Just take a look at the smile on his face!
And see how much the youngest has grown? He's Wiggle Pants now!
Meanwhile, back in Sweden...
I tried to not be a bit jealous. And thankful for Facetime.
My plan was to keep busy. Armed with a borrowed sewing machine and fabrics from IKEA, I'd like to think I got a bit of a jump on Christmas presents.
Sorry, I can't show them here!
At short notice, Thursday became Game Night at our apartment! It was such fun to see Americans and Swedes playing card games, word games and learning good 'ol Rook!
Apple crisp and popcorn were served.

I also went to a Michael Jackson Mass at the Sofia Church.
It was surprisingly worshipful.
(Thanks, Marianne and Staffan, for the invitation!)
I had my English Conversation group with students from the SVF General Line.
This is a small group of students who have found their way into my heart with their questions about life in the USA and their daily life here in Sweden.
And I got myself unlost in the nearby forest when I went on a walk and took a path I shouldn't have.
But...look at this view I got as a reward!
And I also got more quilting done on my 100 Dresses quilt.
Not shown here: my consumption of Cheese Doodles, TV watching (learning Swedish by reading subtitles??), and eating my new favorite dark chocolate with licorice bits.

Somehow, nearly a week passed and now my Sweetie is back "home" again.
We both did what we needed to do in the meantime!
