Apple Harvest Time is Here, Too!
It almost seems like apple trees - very full with apples - are in every yard in our neighborhood as well as in the countryside nearby. We were told there is an Apple Festival coming up soon in nearby Huskvarna, but NOT to go to it then as it's too crowded.
(We are from Chicago and have seen our share of crowds and people,
but advice is advice and we take it.)

We didn't have an easy time finding this place due to some creative turns in the roads and our Swedish deciphering skills in need a bit of polish. A nice woman in a small grocery store pointed us in the right direction, and we set off again.
(By the way, we have use of a vintage Volvo here and we are so grateful to have wheels.)
What is must, you ask?
It's freshly crushed juice that contains the skins, seeds and stems of the fruit.
The solid portion of the must is called pomace and is 7-23% of the total weight of the must.
Making must is the first step in winemaking.
But my definition of must is that one must try it!
It's so so good and tastes quite different from cider; it's like drinking a liquid apple with
layers of flavor.
How do I know this?
Because at the shop, we were able to do some must and cider tasting.
The shop offered several types of must and even suggested pairings to go with fish, pork and desserts.
We must have this.
We must buy this.
And we must certainly did!
I remember all the apple trees when I was at SVF so long ago!!
